"To keep the body in good health is a duty... otherwise we shall not be able to keep our mind strong and clear." - Buddha

The player status is often negatively changed via the player's actions, the environment, and through accidents/combat. They can be negated by using consumables.

Stamina

Stamina is, upon spawn, usually the most immediate status that the player notices. When stamina is completely depleted, the player can no longer sprint or jump. Stamina can last longer by choosing the perk "Cardio."

Jumping removes a large portion of your stamina, and sprinting steadily decreases it. Stamina steadily increases when not sprinting or jumping.

Hunger and Thirst

Hunger/Thirst are slowly depleted over time. Sprinting can lower hunger/thirst at a faster rate, but this can be negated by choosing the perk "Cardio."

Hunger is replenished by consuming Food Consumables, while Thirst is replenished by consuming Drink Consumables

The In-Game Inventory

The inventory is a place where you store items.

To the left are the weaponry and backpack equip slots. To the center are the main storage slots, and the the right are the utility slots.

“But those set to guard a treasure, are too often those who loot it.” - Wilbur Smith {{Heading|title=|text= There are two tiers of loot: Civilian and Military.

Civilian loot is the most common type of loot, and as such, civilian loot generally are considered less valuable than military loot.

Military loot is less common than Civilian loot. Military loot is not guaranteed to be better than civilian loot however.

“Always forgive your enemies; nothing annoys them so much.” - Oscar Wilde

There are multiple types of entities other than the Player in the game.

Other Players - There are multiple Players within Apocalypse Rising I, varying in description. Certain players track down and eliminate new spawn-ins, others wander around looking for random firefights to enter, others create complex bases, others steal loot, and others try to avoid everyone.

Zombies - The most common enemy NPC, zombies are the result of the Infection. Zombies do damage upon contact, and firing a firearm can cause zombies near you to begin moving towards you. All firearms can eliminate a zombie in one shot if directed to the zombie's head.

Patient Zero - The rarest NPC, Patient Zero was a key member in initiating the Infection according to canon. If Patient Zero touches a Player, the Player loses 99% of their health and is teleported to the hospital in Kin. It is assumed that for the Amend Map, the Player is teleported to the hospital in Amend.

"Know thy self, know thy enemy. A thousand battles, a thousand victories." - Sun Tzu
