Overview
The Office of Staff Management (OSM) is where you get the info needed to gain a staff position.

There are many reasons why one wants to be promoted. Some want more editing powers, others want to ban vandals, while others want to be able to customize this wiki more. Either way, there are steps needed to get there.

No one shall be promoted to bureaucrat for the time being.

READ ALL THE STEPS BEFORE BEGINNING THE PROCESS

Step 1: The Application
You will need to write an application in the form of a blog post, for your profile. To do so, go to your profile and click on the tab labeled blog, then click on create a new blog post.

In the application, you MUST include the following:

  • What position are you applying for (wiki users can only apply for moderators, moderators for administrators, et cetera)?
  • Why should we promote you?
  • Would it matter much to the wiki if we didn't promote you?
  • What are your credentials?
Step 2: The Submission
Time to get the word out! Go to an active Staff Member and post the link for your blog post on the Staff Member's wall. Criticals are not considered Staff Members. That Staff Member should get the word out in some way. If that Staff Member does not reply within three (3) days, you may continue to send the word to other Staff Members.

For returning old bureaucrats, yes, you must go through the process again.

Step 3: The Deliberation
Once the Staff has been alerted, they will hold a public poll if the applied position is moderator. Otherwise, they will hold a secure conversation at the group's discord.
