Introduction
| Welcome to the Apocalypse Rising Wiki! Apocalypse Rising is a free ROBLOX user-made game based off of the ArmA II mod, DayZ. Created on April 1st, 2008, but officially released on July 1st, 2012, Apocalypse Rising was programmed by ZolarKeth (who left the team in 2015) and the models were designed by Gusmanak. There is no official objective in the game. As the you get unlimited lives, it is recommended you experiment (and get killed) as you explore Apocalypse Rising.
Apocalypse Rising is one of the most popular zombie/surival games in Roblox, as seen by being voted the most popular game in the ROBLOX zombie/survival genre in 2013, 2015, and 2016, winning Game of the Year in 2013 and 2014, and being nominated numerous times for other Bloxy Awards. Unfortunately, bugs and poor scripting inside Apocalypse Rising have been exposed by the variety of exploit programs that take advantage of the lack of server-sided security, and thus Apocalypse Rising has generally fallen out of favor by players. Many still play the game however, and it is one of the most popular games on Roblox, and the most popular zombie survival game. |
